My First Impression Of The United States (2)

We rented a car in Los Angeles around 11:30p.m. At that time it was raining; not very heavy rain, just drizzle. The traffic was not too bad. The road was very wide. From Los Angeles to San Diego, most buildings are not like China’s. In China buildings are very high, here they are just one or two floors. Between buildings is not narrow, so I understand the reasons that buildings in the U.S. are not very tall. Compared with China, the land is big and people are few.
After two hours, we finally arrived in San Diego. There were airplanes flying in the sky. (We never saw a plane flying in the sky of the city where we lived before. Because that city is small, there are no airports there). My daughter was very excited. San Diego is very beautiful at night. There are a lot of lights at the airports and street lights that make the city more modern. At the moment, our car had entered a quiet, clean, and beautiful villa. When my husband opened the door, my first impression was of the carpets. The carpets are fitted in the house. When I walked, I felt that I would fall over. (The floor of my house in China is marble; it is hard). There are many different kinds of paintings on the wall: landscapes, oils, abstracts, and figure paintings, etc. I like these paintings. There are two bedrooms, one living-room, one bath-room, and one kitchen in the house. The house is not big, but it is enough for us.
After we finished our showers, it was three o’clock in the morning. It was the first night that I slept in the U.S.
