My First Impression Of The United States

My First Impression Of The United States ( 1 )

I came from China and arrived in Los Angeles at 7:30 p.m. on March 15, 2008.
When I saw many different races of people, I knew I had arrived in the United States and was not in China anymore. People were speaking English quickly. I didn’t understand what they were talking about, but my husband speaks English, so I just followed him.
My immigrant information needed to be registered. We were waiting for officals to process our documents. There were three police working behind the window. One of them was a black woman who was very, very fat. I guessed her weight would be 150kg. Her butt was very huge. I never saw people like that woman in China. When another boy who was waiting for his things saw the fat woman, he couldn't help himself and said “OH MY GOD” loudly. I thought he didn't see people like the woman in his country (I thought he might be Chinese).
We had waited and looked at different people there for about four hours. I don't know why I needed to wait there for such a long time. My daughter and I were very hungry. We had had nothing to eat. In the end, we were allowed to leave for San Diego.
